Toilet Paper Bandit Faces Jail

This is so sad. I remember Carol Burnette once saying that when she was a girl they were so poor that they had to steal rolls of toilet paper. She remembers only having the really thin paperey kind to wipe with, never the thick cushy quilted stuff.

An Iowa woman called Butts faces up to two years in jail, just for stealing toilet paper from a courthouse.
Police say Suzanne Marie Butts was caught red-handed stealing three rolls of toilet paper from the Marshall County Courthouse. Police Chief Lon Walker told the Times-Republican: "A courthouse employee saw her walk from a storeroom carrying a bag of toilet paper."
Because of prior convictions, Butts faces up to two years in prison. Supervisor Gordie Johnson said: "When you have three strikes you're out and I consider each roll of toilet paper as a strike."
Come on Gordie, be for real! You can't count each roll as a strike. It was one incident for crying out loud!
No one should be so poor that they can't afford to wipe their butt!
