Leonid The Magnificent

Ok, so I had stopped watching America's Got Talent, because I was convinced that America Does Not Have Talent would have been a better title for the show. It's nothing at all like Britian's Got Talent where contestants have something to offer. But something happened tonight when I was reviewing items on the TIVO.
Even though I wasn't planning on watching it I saw that they had re-run the same America's Got Talent from last week and decided to fast forward through it to see if there was anything remotely entertaining.
Then I saw him.
The same guy who was the absolute highlight of last years season – Leonid The Magnificent.
Why didn't someone tell me he was back on this year? You guys are just cruel to keep this from me.
Leonid is a completely beautiful man specimen. He has smooth legs that are a mile long, outrageous costumes and loads of theatrical makeup. Yet, he is completely genuine. Yes, I fully admit, as much as I wanted to hate him, last year he stole my heart.
And now he's back! Hasselhoff threw a tantrum when Sharon and Piers let him through to the next round, but how could they not? David was chanting "no, no, no, no" and got the audience doing it as well. Why? He's definitely better than "Boy Shakira" and they let that monstrosity through.
Last year Hasselhoff voted Leonid through when Piers wanted to take him home and put him on top of the Christmas tree. Leonid flirted with Hasselhoff last year, but this year told him to go to hell. My how times change!Â
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the judging. But then again there never has been. They let some acts though that are absolutely horrible and then when they have an act that is kind of ok but could use some refining they crack down and say no.
While I know there's no way that Leonid, no matter how magnificent, will win the competition I do hope they keep him around for a while. He is entertaining and brings a humorous element to the show that you can't help but recognize. I completely adore him and I'm glad he's back this season. I had hoped he would be.

I was unbelievably pissed off when they sent Leonid home and then kept Boy Skankira…. I was yelling at the tv too.
I wonder who they will bring back as the wild card?

Oh Melissa… you wouldn’t believe how outraged I was by Boy Shakira and the Indian dancer making it through and them kicking Leonid off. don’t even want to watch the show anymore because I hate the judges… but I want to see Cass win.

I agree.. Leonid is awesome. It was a slap in the face to see him eliminated and seeing them keep Boy Shakira.
I think the only reason Boy Shakira got through was Piers and the “HOFF” agreed to put him through if Sharon didn’t push for Leonid the Magnificent to be put through. I think they’re BOTH homophobes and hey HOFF, Can we say “SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS THE MOVIE???” HELLO??? When you were recently introduced for something you didn’t even ACKNOWLEDGE your MOVIE ROLE?? You’re a washed up has been who needs to go into rehab! I sincerely think that Piers and Hoff are seriously intimidated by the fact that America might just vote Leonid as the winner of the million $$$.
I was so angry I threw things at the television when they told him no, I was pissed they didn’t show his performance the night before or even show him at all. I’m sorry Leonid got robbed again this year. I hope he comes back again next year.
Well, if you watched last nights episode you know that they booted Leonid off. Didn’t even SHOW his performance. Granted, he had been verbally aggressive towards Hoff, but Hoff was being a friggin jerk about it. I’m sorry, but Mr. Hoff is VERY apparently HOMOPHOBIC. I thought Leonid loooked great and has always shown that he’s got his acto together – David just can’t handle that Leonid is prettier than he is! LOL!!
