Teen Texter Gets 4 Years For Fatal Crash

Driving and text messaging don't mix! 

A teen girl in England killed a woman in a fatal car accident that could have been avoided completely if she had not been using her cell phone to send a text message.  She's been sent to juvenile prison where she'll have 4 years to think about it.

Rachel Begg, 19, admitted to text messaging while driving and pleaded guilty to the charge of dangerous driving in the crash that killed Maureen Waites, 64. 

In court there was evidence that Begg had used her cell phone nine times during a 15 minute drive immediately before the accident.

Since has been illegal in England since December 2003 to use a cell phone while driving, poice routinely check cell phone records of drivers in any serious or fatal accident.
