Duct Tape Bandit Robs Liquor Store

A man who is being called the " Duct Tape" bandit robbed a liquor store in Kentucky.  He got out of the store with two rolls of coins, which police later found scattered in the parking lot.

Now, you might think that the guy used duct tape to tie someone up or do something in connection with the robbery.. well kind of… he wrapped his own head in duct tape as a disguise.  How clever!  He also pulled his t-shirt up over the back of his head in what is described as a "Beavis and Butthead Cornholio" maneuver.

The store manager had some duct tape of his own, wrapped around a big stick.

A store employee and a customer who was also in the store at the time pinned the guy down until police arrived.

Police removed the duct tape from the man without injuring him.  Apparently he was sweating so much that the duct tape wasn't fully stuck to the skin.

Amazingly enough, this joker gave a jailhouse interview to the press.  He says the police have the wrong guy and he isn't the duct tape bandit.  Ummm.. well there are pictures of him with and without the duct tape and police pulled the tape off of him themselves.  Not sure how the "it wasn't me" defense is going to work for ya, buddy.

The people who run the liquor store can't stop laughing about the botched robbery attempt, even though they know he was seriously trying to rob them.
