I Would Rather Watch Goatse On An Endless Loop…

Walter just had his 3rd birthday.  We were all really excited that he got a V-Smile video game system from Wendy.. and she also got him a few game cartridges, a power pack and an extra joystick to go with it.  We thought he would really enjoy playing video games.

Well, he would enjoy the games a lot if he would play them, I'm sure.  But he's stuck on one.. the Thomas The Tank Engine game.  The first night the game system was set up there were 4 hours of hell on earth while he attempted to play the Thomas game.  Every 30 seconds or so he would come get me from the other room, by pulling on my finger to shirt.  The game is not easy, not for me anyway.  I called my Dad and told him what kind of problems we were having and he said "Isn't the game for 3 year olds?"….  Well, yeah Dad, but I can't get Thomas to turn when he's supposed to and Walter can't either.

So for hours upon hours we run Thomas up the track until it's time for him to make a turn, then we try several hundred times to get him to turn, then we back him up and take a running go at it, then back up again.  This goes on and on and on.  The problem is that I would just turn the game off and try another one, but Walter loves Thomas.  He'd rather sit there in frustration than turn it off or even try another game that's on the cartridge.  It's HELL.  I'd rather watch goatse on an endless loop than play Thomas… And believe me, goatse gives me nightmares.

Why did V-Smile do this to me?  What were they thinking making a Thomas that won't turn? 

I think it was intentional.  I think V-Smile hates parents of toddlers.  They've created a torture device to get even for some unspeakable atrocity I have done to them and I don't even know what it was.

Well, good one V-Smile, good one.  Ya got me.  I need a nerve pill just to deal with Thomas now.

Gotta go.. Running down to the liquor store… I think I'll take up drinking to numb the pain.
