Truthie, If you ever felt like you had to post a link to your email, you could obfuscate it with a little javascript. The harvesters don’t usually parse that kind of stuff with any ease, so they don’t even “see” the address because you can make it just look like an equation. I’ve been doing it for quite a while and I don’t think that my spam count is very high, considering. I also forward my email through Gmail (which some may have a problem with because they don’t like Google), which allows me to use their spam filters instead of maintaining it on the server side on my own. I could have used the Wordpress tag structure to do the same thing with PHP, but the javascript thing is easier for all types of sites. So, it would work for a b2Evolution blog as well. Of course, as you have stated, you have other reasons to do things the way you are as well.

My last email address used to get spam with links to videos of women doing unusual things with farm animals, and lower extremity enlargement ads. We had to ditch it.

I was actually looking for your email. I wanted to know what happened to Blog for a Year…you’re no doubt the winner. Did they contact you? They said it ends Jan. 1. Up to yesterday the voting was on. I emailed them to confirm what the plan is…if they are declaring you the winner or if they will extend since the prize pot is too low than expected. Then some minutes later, voting ended. Yet up to now, the winner has not been declared and if you try to join, you still can!

I’m beginning to think this might be a scam. Hopefully it isn’t. Have you made contact with them?
