Implants For Short People

A Spanish doctor has designed implants for short people to give them a little boost.  The doctor has developed a silicone head implant that can increase a person's height by up to 5cm.

At first when I read this I thought it was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard.  Who would go under the knife to gain 5cm of height?  Well.. actually the answer makes a little bit of sense.

Some jobs have height requirements.  So for people who want to be police officers, flight attendants, models and firefighters but are just a tiny bit too short, the implant surgery can give them exactly what they need to get into their desired field.

The implant costs about $8,500 and the doctor says that people are already lining up at his Madrid clinic for the outpatient surgery.

  1. My goodness! I sure have seen everything now. I was quite shocked to see that the implant only gained 5cm. But then your explanation made perfect sense. That could be enough for some people to reach their dreams.

I know quite a few people who need head implants. But not for the reasons stated in your post :D

I haven’t heard of this before. I have heard about implants that can be put into the legs however.

When I was 18, I wanted to join the army and become a pilot, then get out later and have a career. I ended up in the artillery cause I was an 1.5 inches too short….

Tim: Sorry the implant came too late..

  8. I’m pretty sure more people will be happy hearing that good news. The height is really big deal especially in finding a job.
