Who Knew Kurt Cobain Had Such Good Credit?

So, on the celeb gossip sites for the last couple of days there has been some "news" about Courtney Love making a police report indicating that she and her late husband, Kurt Cobain, are victims of identity theft.

Love apparently says that hundreds of credit cards have been opened up in their names, using their Social Security numbers and that Cobain's credit report shows that he bought a house last year.

Does Courtney Love think that Kurt Cobain is still alive?  I read something like that on a celeb blog somewhere, but I really don't even think she's that crazy.  She knows she killed him.  Ok, I'm just kidding about that too, although there are conspiracy theories that made the rounds about that too.  I don't think Love actually murdered Cobain, I think he just figured it would be easier to check out than deal with her anymore. 

It was sad that he killed himself, it's sad when anyone does, but I have to say I wasn't a huge fan.  It didn't deeply touch me that a junkie with a junkie wife killed himself.  Ok, I'm off topic a bit; let me get back on track.

Anyway, TMZ reported that the police think the Courtney Love is nuts and that she hasn't been a victim of identity theft.  I'm not sure why she would be checking Cobian's credit anyway… how long has he been dead now?  Did she just wake up one morning and decide to check his credit, or does she monitor it on a regular basis?  Don't they close your credit report when you die?

On Love's MySpace blog she talks about how "numbers don't lie."  Honestly, I can't read her blog because it's basically.. well.. let me put it this way:  You think I have a problem with spellcheck?  Courtney Love's blog makes Absolutely True look like a work of literary genius.  Seriously. It's that bad.

However, Love claims to have all this proof that credit accounts were opened in her name and in her late husband's name… and if she does, why are the cops ignoring her?  Identity theft really isn't something to screw around with, so I'm not sure why, if they really are ignoring her, that they wouldn't check into it.

Seriously though, we only get half the story from gossip rags anyway.  There's no telling if the cops are investigating it or not.  If Love actually does have the proof, the "numbers" that she says that she does, I hope they will at least look into it.  Sometimes crazy people do have good credit, and they don't deserve to have it ruined.  Not that I have any affection for Courtney Love, I just hate thieves.
