Priceless….

I always did like Jean-Claude Van Damme.  I have no idea how old this video is, and it looks European (like Van Damme), but it is very funny.  What did he think would happen?

I Have Not Abandoned You

You may have noticed a distinct lack of wierd and bizarre news updates in the last few days.  Sorry about that..

I have not abandoned Absolutely True though, I've simply been plagued with hardware, software and health difficulties.  The nuttiness should resume shortly.

Thanks for hanging in there!

Cops Happy To Find Pot In Burning House

cops with potCops in Utah were really happy to find $78,000 in pot plants inside a burning house.  Don't they look thrilled?

The man who owned the house was growing the large plants in an elaborate set-up in the basement complete with a secret door and passageway down to the growing room. He was charged with cultivating and possession of marijuana. Since the house is near a school and a playground, he's in quite a bit of trouble.

Firefighters had to knock a hole in a wall to get to the 130 pot plants. The discovery was made while the home was being searched to make sure all the the flames had been put out.

After the arrest, the cops celebrated the bust with a couple dozen donuts.

Man Loses Life Savings To Termites

A man in India has lost his life savings after a termite infestation at the bank ate into his safe deposit box and chewed up currency and investment notes worth hundreds of thousands of rupees.

The bank says the man is just out of luck because they put up a notice warning customers of the termite problem. The thing is, the man had not been to the bank in months and didn't see the sign. I know they have phones in India.. why didn't they call him?

The items in the safe deposit box were his entire savings for retirement. He had deposited approximately $11,000 in currency and investment papers worth $5660. He also had some jewelry in the box.

He started using the safe deposit box in September 2005 and when he opened the box on January 29 he found dust instead of his money and the investment papers were badly damaged. The man says that the termites even ate the sheen off of the jewelry he had in storage at the bank.

The man has written a letter to the bank's central offices, but has not gotten a reply. The local bank says that because they put up the sign, they are not liable for the losses.

PSA: Before You Pawn Your Camera

Just so you know, before you pawn a camera you should remove any tape or media from it.  Especially if it contains video of you passing a joint to a baby.

In Ohio a 16-year-old forgot and is not facing charges of corrupting and damaging a child.  On the tape he's apparently seen holding the toddler and forcing it to do drugs.

Woman Locks Herself In Trunk Of Car

A woman in Maine recently called 911 to tell police that the was at the mall and locked inside the trunk of her 1996 Mustang.  The police reportedly told her that there was likely an emergency release on the inside, but that they were on their way to help her.

When the officer got to the mall, he heard the 50-something-year-old woman beating on the trunk from the inside.  She yelled that there was a hidden key and that he should find it and unlock the trunk.  So he got her out of the trunk and asked how she found herself in that position….

The woman really wouldn't give a straight answer but apparently she couldn't get her key to work in the passenger's side door so she decided to open the trunk and try to crawl over the back seats.  That didn't work out and she declined to say how the trunk got closed.

Two Wives Divorce One Man In 3 Minutes

Roslan Ngah had a rough day yesterday. His wife divorced him in an Islamic court in Malaysia yesterday, and then three minutes later his second wife divorced him as well. The wives were a housewife and a nurse and all three of them lived in the same house. The wives became good friends and decided that they both wanted to divorce him at the same time.

Ngah was shocked. He never imagined that they would get together and decide that they both wanted a divorce. This makes 3 divorces for the man. He had married his first wife in 1986 and the second one in 1995. He had married a third woman in 2001 but that woman divorced him shortly after they were married.

The man, who is the father of eight children with his three former wives, says he will probably get married again.
