Penis Stealing Witches at it Again

Thirteen suspected sorcers have been arrested in Congo because they are accused of using black magic to steal or shrink the penises.  The wave of penis thefts apparently started after widespread panic and several attempted lynchings in the area connected with the witchcraft.

As I previously reported in a post I had quite a lot of fun with , penis theft is not uncommon in some parts of Africa.

Last week in Kinshasa, the Democratic Republic of Congo, rumors of penis theft started to spread and callers to radio talk shows warned listeners to beware of passengers who wear gold rings on public transportation.

The witches apparently just touch their victims to "steal" their penises, making them shrink, become impotent or vanish.  Then the extortion begins, with the penis thieves promising a cure for the right price.

A decade ago in Ghana, twelve suspected penis snatchers were beaten to death by angry mobs.  To prevent the outbreak of that kind of violence, all of the suspects and victims in Congo have been taken into custody.
