Man Swears to God, Is Promptly Struck by Lightning

A Chinese man who was bold enough to swear to God that he did not owe a debt was struck by lightning a minute later.
The man has reportedly borrowed about $80 from his neighbor three years ago. Of course he never paid it back and denied ever borrowing it.
Finally, the neighbor told him that if he dared to swear to God that he did not owe the money, the debt would be cleared. So right there, in front of a crowd of neighbors, the man swore to God that he did not owe the money.
About a minute later he was struck down by lightning. He did survive and is expected to make a full recovery. Hope he learned his lesson though!
Wonder if he will now pay his neighbor the money that he so obviously owes?

If this really happened, it just confirms the scripture that commands us not to mention the name of the Lord for nothing. BTW, this guy went to the extreme by lying using the name of the Lord. Good he did not die.He has time to correct things.
If was a real news item. Unless I have been misinformed, it really happened. Let’s hope he does correct things.
